Sisters and Shenandoah Valley Alumni to be Recognized by Penn State University

Anthony and Judy Demalis received word that their daughters Alaina & Emily who are students matriculating at the University Park Campus of the Pennsylvania State University will be given special recognition for their outstanding academic achievement.
Alaina, a senior Penn State Schreyer Honors College student majoring in Kinesiology at University Park was the recipient of the prestigious Evan Pugh Award. 

Recipients of this award have a cumulative 4.0 average and rank in the upper 0.5 % of their classes. She will graduate in May and continue her education at the Penn State Medical College at Hershey, PA.

Emily, a freshman member enrolled at the Penn State Schreyer Honors College where she was awarded The President’s Freshman Award. 

To be eligible undergraduate students must have who have achieved a 4.0 cumulative average based on their completion of 12 undergraduate credits achieved in the first semester of their admission. Emily is a Biomedical Engineering major at the University Park Campus.

Both girls are graduates of the Shenandoah Valley HS Chapter of the National Honor Society with Alaina Shenandoah Valley Class of 2016 and Emily Shenandoah Valley Class of 2019.
