Janet C. DeLuca, 85, of Shenandoah, passed away on Thursday, May 28th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Shenandoah on May 15th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Hollenbach.

Janet was a 1953 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School in Shenandoah, then she worked in the local garment industry for many years. Janet was a member of the ILGWU, the Glovers Hill Ladies Auxilliary, as well as Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino, reading, and gardening.

Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Louis DeLuca, 5 brothers, John, Frank, Harry, Charles, and Edward Hollenbach, 1 sister, Anna Stines, and also her pet yorkie – Chloe.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Louise Bekisz with Dave, Debra Smith, and Donna Donchak with Rick, 2 sisters, Shirley Mehs and Joann Andrews, 2 grandsons, Derrick Donchak and Aaron Bekisz, a brother-in-law, Joseph DeLuca with Estelle, and several nieces and nephews.

Private visitation will take place from 8:30am to 10am on Monday, June 1st at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am in Divine Mercy Parish, 218 W. Cherry St, Shenandoah officiated by Msgr. William Glosser. Private burial will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Dorothy B Bernd, age 85, of Pine Grove, formerly of Valley View, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Tremont.

She was born on Thursday, February 21, 1935, in Donaldson, a daughter of the late Claude Morgan and the late Beatrice Brown Morgan.

She was a graduate of the former Tremont High School .

Dorothy enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Her husband, Karl D Bernd, passed away in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers, Thomas Morgan and John "Jackie" Morgan; and by two son in laws Frank Demcher, Jr and Scott Bitter.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra J Demcher of Tremont and Sue A Gent of Stuart, FL; a son, Eric K Bernd and his wife Cindy of Valley View; an adopted son Hac Phan and his wife Lin of New Orleans LA; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Ilene Devine of Donaldson; ; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the current public health concerns a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be private in Donaldson Community Cemetery.

Elizabeth Ann Stutzman, age 77, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on Monday, May 3, 1943, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Paul Schrope and the late Irene Snyder Schrope.

She was a 1961 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a 1965 graduate Penn State University.

Elizabeth was high school science teacher, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Paul Schrope, Jr,; and by two sisters, Joan Warner and Jane Levan.

She is survived by her husband Lamar L Stutzman, to whom she was married for 53 years.

She is also survived by two daughters, Ingrid Stutzman and her spouse Robert of Truckee, CA, and Ellie Stutzman and her spouse Carolyn of Sarasota, FL; two grandsons, Niko Suarez and Leo Suarez both of Truckee, CA; a granddaughter, Diana Stutzman of Sarasota, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to current health concerns services will be private.

Burial will be made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
