A victim of a fatal crash on the Brockton Mountain on Friday has been identified.
According to officials, Eric D. Dockery, 44, of Houston, Texas, was identified as the victim in the fatal crash that occurred Friday morning on Brockton Mountain Road, in Schuylkill Township.
State Police from Frackville said that the crash occurred as Dockery was traveling down a steep incline on Brockton Mountain Road when he lost control of his truck on a sharp right curve.
The truck crossed over the oncoming lane and rolled over onto its driver’s side before hitting several trees and coming to a stop ejecting Dockery.
Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak pronounced Dockery at the scene at 12:13pm.
Brockton Mountain Road was closed for several hours while the crash was investigated and the scene was cleared.
The truck's load also spilled dumping ice pops all over the crash scene.
