Woman Flown with Serious Injuries After Blythe Township Crash on Tuesday

A woman was flown with serious injuries have a crash in Blythe Township on Tuesday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 10:30am, on Mountain Road near the intersection with Valley Road in Blythe Township near New Philadelphia.

Troopers say the crash occurred when Marcia Donlin, 29, of Middleport was traveling south on Mountain Road when she failed to stay in her lane and crossed into the oncoming tractor trailer being driven by Timothy Carr, 50, of Parsons, West Virginia.

Was was able to swerve to avoid a head-on crash but Donlin still struck the rear axle of the trailer.

Donlin was entrapped in the heavily damaged vehicle and required the fire department to cut her from the vehicle.

Once freed, Donlin was taken to a waiting medical helicopter and flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest with serious injuries.

Carr was not injured in the crash.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
