The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident where a woman was scammed through an online dating web site.According to troopers, a woman was North Manheim Township, was scammed after someone provided a false identity to the victim on an internet dating web site.
The suspect began a false relationship with the victim, only to persuade her to send him a new Apple Laptop and attempted to defraud her out of $45,000.
The approximate value of the laptop was $2,700.00.
