Just before noon on Friday, two Schuylkill County dive teams were called to Gilberton to assist with any additional evacuations as well as to rescue pets and retrieve items that were left behind.
The dive teams from the West End Fire Company, Mahanoy City, and the Schuylkill Haven Dive Team returned to the borough just after noon.
The teams had a list of homes to visit and transported some homeowners back to their homes to go inside and get the items they needed.
As of 1:00pm, the water continued to rise leaving many homes with at least 3 feet of water on the first floor.
