Kathy A. Yanick
, 74, of Mount Carmel formerly Klingerstown passed away Monday July 28th at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville.

Born in Ashland on March 12, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Miriam (Yoder) and Whalen Wehry Sr.

Kathy graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 1969. She also attended Allentown Business School.

She was the wife of Anthony J. Yanick, they have been married 52 years.

Kathy was a member of Hope Community Church in Mount Carmel. She did missionary work making dresses for children.

Throughout her life she held different jobs such as a bus driver for Tri-Valley School District and as a CNA for Family Home Medical.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy also enjoyed checking out local flea and farmers markets including thrift stores. She always loved sending cards and handwritten letters for every occasion.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by; brother Whalen “Butch” Wehry Jr.; 2 infant grandsons Jared Bolinsky and Andrew Kogut.

Surviving are husband Anthony J. Yanick, Mount Carmel; daughter Tara L. Kimmel (Randall “Boomer”), Valley View; son Matthew J. Yanick (Alicia), Smithsburg MD; grandchildren Zachary, Amber, Aidan, Corbin & Samantha; nieces & nephews; 2 dogs especially her beloved Maddy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Hope Community Church, 551 West 4thSt, Mount Carmel PA 17851. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday September 13, 2025 at the church prior to services from 9:00-10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Kathy’s memory to the Hope Community Church or a charity of your choice.

Elizabeth Katherine McCormick
, 66 of Middleport, PA passed away Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem.
 
Born in Inglewood, CA on February 23, 1959, she was the daughter of the late John Allen and Antonette (Bitetto) McPartland.

Elizabeth worked as the Manager at PLCB Liquor Store in Tamaqua.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene F. McCormick, Jr. on September 15, 2024.
 
Elizabeth is survived by two sons: Michael E. McCormick and his wife Vanessa and Jeremy J. McCormick and his wife Nicole; a daughter Kaitlyn A. Reyes; grandchildren: Alexia, Lia, Reese, Maddox, Jovie, and Madilyn; a brother Richard McPartland; and two nieces: LynnAnn and Nicole.
A celebration of life party for Elizabeth will be held at the Kaska Hose Company on Saturday, August 9th from 1pm to 7pm.
 
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Elizabeth to the St Luke's Excellence in Cancer Care Fund.

Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.

Violet Lebo, 100, of Branchdale, passed away peacefully Friday August 1, 2025.

Born in Branchdale, September 18, 1924 she was a daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Collins) Miller.

She was a graduate of Reilly Township High School and went on to work as a Machine Operator at Honey Bee Blouse Factory, Branchdale.

Violet was a member of First United Methodist Church, Minersville, and the ILGWU.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Lebo in 1989; 3 sisters Irma Miller, Marian Sheriff and Ruth Miller; 2 Brothers Norman and Allen Miller.

Surviving are her Son Ted Lebo widower of Barb of Tremont; Daughter Lois Lebo of Branchdale; Grandchildren Kristina Marie Lebo and Ted Lebo Jr.; Great Grandchildren Heather, Kiara and Kalea; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday August 7, 2025 from Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care 200 Sunbury St. Minerville, PA 17954. Rev. Karen Paquette will be officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
