Five graduating students from Schuylkill County were celebrated by friends, family, and faculty as members of Reach Cyber Charter School’s Class of 2020.
These students were among the 465 high school seniors, Reach Cyber’s second-ever graduating class, who participated in the tuition-free online school’s virtual commencement ceremony on Tuesday, June 9.

A statewide STEM-focused cyber school, Reach Cyber served more than 3,600 students in grades K-12 this school year. The majority of the graduates in the Class of 2020 have plans to further their education or start a career. Approximately 42% of the graduating seniors plan to attend a two or four-year college, 22% have decided to enter the workforce, 13% plan to attend vocational training, and others have aspirations such as the military or missionary work.
The Class of 2020 was the second-ever class to graduate from Reach Cyber Charter School, which opened in 2016. Additionally, 39 students were inducted into the Inaugural Founders Club, honoring those students who were the first to attend Reach Cyber for their entire high school education in grades 9 through 12.
Reach Cyber’s high school program offers a wide variety of rigorous standards-based courses including honors and AP classes, delivering a strong foundation for whatever path a graduate chooses
Dozens of students in the Class of 2020 are graduating a year or semester earlier than they would have in a traditional program because they pursued Reach Cyber’s Accelerated Pace program, allowing them to attend summer, fall and spring sessions full-time to earn more credits throughout the year.
