Two Schuylkill County Businesses Cited for Liquor License Violations


Last month, two Schuylkill County businesses were cited for liquor license violations

According to a public information report released on June 16th, 2020, on May 12th, 2020, Salute LLC, located on 300 East Broad Street in Tamaqua was cited for an incident that occurred on January 17th, 2020.

The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement says the violation occurred when the company sold two alcoholic beverages to two visibly intoxicated patrons which was a violation of Section 493(1) of the Liquor Code

The charges will be brought before an Administrative Law Judge who has the authority to impose penalties from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.  The Judge may also impose a license suspension or revocation.

According to a public information report released on June 16th, 2020, on May 12th, 2020, the Veterans Home Association of Valley View in Hegins Township was cited for incidents that occurred between February 9th, 2020 and March 10th, 2020.

The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement says the company failed to return their club liquor license and wholesale liquor purchase permit cards to the Board after their licensed establishment had not been in operation for a period of fifteen days in violation of Section 474.1(a) of the Liquor Code and Section 7.31(a) of the Liquor Control Board Regulations.

REDACTION:  In our original posting, it was stated that these businesses were cited by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, that was incorrect, they were cited by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
