Pine Grove Man Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

A Pine Grove man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Tremont Township last week.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020, around 9:50am, troopers conducted a traffic stop on Mollystown Road in Tremont Township on a vehicle for an equipment violation.

The vehicle was driven by James Kutz, 36, of Pine Grove.

Police say further investigation led to a search of the vehicle and the finding of approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, 3 tables of suspected LSD and large amount of cash.

Kutz was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kutz was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after he was unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
