One Flown After Pedestrian Struck in Hit and Run on Route 61 near Fountain Springs

A pedestrian was flown after being struck by a vehicle in a hit and run near Fountain Springs late Saturday.

UPDATE (1:15am):  A suspect and vehicle have been identified.  Butler Township Police thank those who shared information.

According to Butler Township Police, the hit and run occurred around 8:24pm, Saturday, when a pedestrian was struck along Route 61 near the Ashland Gun Club.  The vehicle then fled the scene northbound.

Police say the vehicle involved is believed to be a mid to late 1990's Toyota Corolla possibly white or silver and should have moderate front end damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

The victim was transported to Memorial Field in Ashland flown via Medivac.

Ashland's American Hose Company handled the landing zone at Memorial Field.
