Over $20,000 in Drugs Seized, 5 Arrested During Drug Sweep in Minersville


On Tuesday, August 25th, 2020, the Minersville Police Department arrested 5 as a result of a drug sweep resulting from ongoing narcotics investigations . 

During the operation, Minersville Police were assisted by the PA Office of Attorney General - Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, U.S Marshals Fugitive Task Force, St. Clair Police, Cass Township Police and the Schuylkill County District Attorneys Office. 

Arrested were:
 - Michael Brown, 38, of Minersville
 - Joseph Seladones, 61, of Minersville
 - Heather Lubish, 43, no known address
 - Hoang Nguyen, 33, of Minersville
 - Gerald Lawell, 36, of Minersville

As a result of the investigation, Brown, Lubish and Seladones received additional charges for additional narcotics and weapons found at the time of the sweep. 

During the operation, a total over $16,000 worth of controlled substances and one handgun were seized. 

All individuals were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko on the multiple drug charges and bail was set at:

Hoang Nguyen - locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $30,000 straight cash  on two cases
Joseph Seladones - locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 (10%)  per case on two cases
Heather Lubish - released on $10,000 unsecured bail
Gerald Lawell - locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 straight cash bail
Michael Francis Brown - locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 straight cash bail

Drugs involved in the investigation were methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, morphine and prescription drugs.
