State Police Release Photo of Suspect Vehicle Involved in Fatal Hit and Run in Hazle Township

The Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate a fatal hit and run that occurred in Hazle Township early Saturday on Interstate 81.

UPDATE:  Suspect arrested

Police say around 1:15am, a 2000-2009 gray/silver Hyundai Accent was traveling north on the Interstate in the area of mile marker 143.2 in Hazle Township in the right lane which was closed due to active night time construction taking place.  

As the vehicle was traveling through the closed right lane, it struck and killed a construction worker who was identified as Kevin Dendulk, 30, of Royerford.

Prior to the accident, the vehicle is believed to have traveled on Route 924 south then used the on ramp to enter Interstate 81 northbound.

The vehicle is said to have heavy damage to the passenger side front end portion of the vehicle as well  as it will be missing the passenger side mirror and passenger side window glass.
