Investigation Leads to Drug Charges Against Five in Ashland

A drug investigation led to five people being charged after a search warrant was executed on Friday in Ashland.

According to Ashland Police Chief Ger Daley, on Friday, July 31st, 2020, around 8:20am, the Ashland Police Department with assistance from the Butler Township Police, Frackville Police, State Police, and Adult Probation served a search warrant at 608 West Centre Street, Apartment #2 as part of an investigation into drug activity.

As a result of the search,  Amanda Bushpics, of Ashland, April Seritsky, of Ashland, Abigail Seritsky, of Ashland, Richard Connor, of Shamokin, and Joseph Yackera, of Girardville will face possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

Yackera and Bushpics were also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Ashland Police will be filing charges against the four through Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale's office, Frackville.
