Two Seriously Injured in Two-Motorcycle Crash on Route 901 in Cass Township

 Two people were seriously injured after a two-motorcycle crash on Route 901 in Cass Township on Wednesday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020, just before 5:00pm, Kyle Davis, 22, of Lehighton was riding his Yamaha YZFR1with Tanisha Smith, 24, of Pottsville as a passenger and a 17 year old was riding a BMW 328XI.

Police say Davis was traveling behind the 17 year old as they traveled west on Route 901/Sunbury Road in Cass Township.

As the 17 year old slowed to make a left turn into a gravel parking lot near High Road, Davis struck the rear of the motorcycle in front of him.

Both Davis and Smith were reported to have suffered serious injuries in the crash and were transported to a landing zone to a waiting helicopter to rush them to the hospital.

The 17 year old was not injured and was able to be driven away from the scene.

Davis' motorcycle was towed from the scene.
