Warrant Issued for Pottsville Man After Two Assaults; Victims Hospitalized

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Pottsville man after two assaults that left both victims in the hospital.

According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky, on Saturday, August 8, 2020 around 7:00pm, Pottsville Police investigated an assault that occurred in the area of the Buck Fever Gun Club, 825 Ravine St.

The investigation revealed Todd Schultz, 46, of Pottsville assaulted a 50 year old Pottsville man by striking him with an ATV and then violently kicking and punching him in the head and rib area. 

The victim was life-flighted to a medical trauma center for injuries he sustained in the attack. 

A witness who was present during the assault and attempted to intervene to stop Schultz’s assault was also assaulted by Schultz and transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation and treatment..

Schultz fled the scene before police arrived. An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of Schultz as a result of this incident for Aggravated Assault (F1) , Aggravated Assault (F2), Simple Assault (M2).
