Man Locked Up in Schuylkill County Prison After Fleeing Magistrate

On Friday, a man was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after he fled the magistrate after being arraigned for a previous incident.

According to Ashland Police, on Friday, September 11th, 2020, Ryan Wagner, 26, no known address, was taken into custody on warrant for robbery from a previous incident that occurred on August 13th.

Wagner was taken to the Magistrate in Frackville around 1:30pm where he was arraigned by District Judge Christina Hale on charges of robbery, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, and harassment.

Hale set bail for the robbery at $25,000 (10%).

After arraignment, Wagner fled from the magistrate and was later taken into custody a few blocks away.

Wagner was then returned to Magistrate on felony escape charges and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 straight cash.

Assisting Ashland Police were officers from Frackville, Butler Township, West Mahanoy Township, and Mahanoy City.
