Naked Man Steals Vehicle and Crashes into Fire Company in Shenandoah Heights

A man has been locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after going on a joy ride while naked and crashing into a fire company early Friday in Shenandoah Heights.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Friday, September 25th, 2020, around 6:00am, troopers received a report of a naked male walking on Virginia Avenue in Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township.

While a State Trooper approached Virginia Avenue, a white SUV was seen crossing over Swatara Road from Virginia Avenue without stopping at a posted stop sign.

The SUV drove over the Heights Fire Company parking lot and impacted the firehouse's building coming to a rest just inside the building.

When the trooper approached, a naked male crawled from the driver's seat into the back of the vehicle.

While the trooper detained the naked male, a female approached and stated the vehicle in question was her vehicle and the male just stole it from the front of her home.

She told police that the naked male had entered her vehicle and drove forward striking a parked vehicle, then drove away almost striking her boyfriend.

A further investigation revealed that the naked male entered a home, around 5:30am, on Swatara Avenue before stealing the vehicle.  The owner of the home was able to make the naked male leave.

As a result of the incident, Damian Hester, 18, of Shenandoah Heights, was charged with criminal trespass, vehicle theft, DUI, recklessly endangering other person, indecent exposure, criminal mischief, and multiple traffic violations.

Hester was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Kilker and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
