State Police Investigating Stabbing in Girardville Earlier This Week

The Pennsylvania State Police have released details on a stabbing in Girardville that occurred earlier this week.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020 around 7:00am in the 200 Block of East Main Street, Girardville.

Police say troopers were dispatched for a report of a 33 year old male that was stabbed and laying on the sidewalk.

The male was reported to be conscious but having trouble breathing.

After an investigation, it was determined that the victim was stabbed in the back while he was walking down the street and the unknown suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was taken to an area hospital via Ashland Ambulance.
