Ashland Police Arrest Girardville Man Wanted for Two Incidents Earlier This Year

Late last month, Ashland Police took a man into custody that was wanted for an incident earlier this year.

On September 17th, 2020, Ashland Police Officer Daniel Weikel charged Joseph Yackera, 37, of Girardville for an incident on May 20th, 2020 where he damaged a home and a vehicle on Chestnut Street in the borough.

Yackera was also charged with another incident that occurred on September 11th, 2020 where he smashed through a locked front door of the same home on Chestnut Street and damaged multiple items inside the home.

On September 30th, 2020, around 4:15pm, Yackera was taken into custody by Ashland Police and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Reiley on charges of criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and other charges.

Yackera was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $10,000 straight cash bail.
