Woman Taken into Custody After Climbing onto Roof in Ashland Early Friday

A woman was taken into custody after climbing onto a roof in Ashland early Friday.

Around 3:45am, Friday, emergency personnel in Ashland were dispatched to 221 West Centre Street in Ashland for a person on a roof.

State Police responded along with the Ashland Fire Department with their aerial truck.

The woman argued with authorities before the Washington Fire Department set up their ladder and firefighters were able to bring the woman down from the roof safely.

State Police took the woman into custody and the scene was cleared by 4:15am.

State Police have not released details on the incident or if charges were filed.

Washington Ambulance was also on scene.

Update:  The woman was reportedly sent to the hospital.

Update (11/16/2020) - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Victoria Jago, 39, of Ashland was charged with disorderly conduct for the incident.
