HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Wilson Tops Pottsville in District XI Quarter Final

Wilson moves on surprising win over the Pottsville Crimson Tide Saturday night.

Pottsville entered the playoffs with a 6-1 record with their one loss of the season coming during Week 1 against Nativity BVM.

The Crimson Tide took the lead early Saturday night after their first drive that went almost the length of the whole field and Fullback Bobby Walchak running the ball in for 6 followed by an extra point.

That would be Pottsville's only score for the half with Wilson leading at going into the 3rd quarter 12-7.

Pottsville would take the lead once more during the third but Wilson would score again with just over 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter to take the lead and leave Pottsville scoreless in the 4th.

Wilson moves on in the Class 4A Playoffs with a 18-14 win over Pottsville.
