New Philadelphia Man Charged with Assaulting 3 Year Old

A New Philadelphia man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a 3 year old over the weekend.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Saturday, November 21st, 2020 around 2:00pm, Troopers responded to a domestic disturbance on Water Street in New Philadelphia.

A man told police that his 3 year old daughter was subjected to physical contact by James Suggs, 25, of New Philadelphia.

Suggs was taken into custody and arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi on charges of Simple Assault and Harrassment.

Suggs was released on $15,000 unsecured bail and was told that he should not have further contact with the victim.

A Preliminary Hearing is set for December 1st, 2020 with Judge Rossi.
