Body of Missing Bloomsburg Woman Found in Luzerne County; Perry County Man Charged with Homicide

A Perry County man is locked up in Luzerne County Prison after the body of a missing woman from Bloomsburg was found on Sunday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton, an investigation into the disappearance of Erica Shultz, 26, of Bloomsburg led to the finding of her body in a wooded area off of Hobbie Road in Butler Township, Luzerne County on Sunday, December 27th.

Shultz had been missing since December 4th, 2020.

According to State Police, as a result of an ongoing investigation into Shultz's disappearance, the Luzerne County District Attorney and Columbia County District Attorney's office have approved charges of criminal homicide, kidnapping, and abuse of a corpse on Harold David Haulman III, 42, of Duncannon, PA.

Haulman was taken into custody on Sunday, arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Brian James Tupper, and locked up in Luzerne County Prison after being denied bail.
