Girardville Police Investigating Possible Theft of Dog

The Girardville Police Department is investigating the possible theft of a dog in the borough.

According to police, on Friday, December 11th, 2020, around 9:43am, a female pit bull named "Nikki" got loose from it's home and wandered a short distance away.

While being loose, a vehicle, possibly a black SUV, drove by and picked up the dog.

Police say since the incident, the dog has not been turned over to any animal shelter or dog agent.  Police also have not received notification that a stray had been found.

A reward is being offered by the owner of the dog for a safe return.
