Pottsville Man Taken into Custody on Warrant from Maryland

A Pottsville man was taken into custody over the weekend after a traffic stop.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Saturday, December 26th, 2020, around 6:45pm, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle being driven by James Arnold, 58, of Pottsville.

A check of Arnold's information led to the finding that he was wanted on an active warrant out of Somerset County, Maryland.  Arnold was also found to be in unlawful possession of two firearms.

Arnold was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 bail.
