Shenandoah Woman Facing DUI Charges After Crash

A Shenandoah woman is facing DUI charges after a crash Sunday evening.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred while Marie Manbeck, 66, of Shenandoah, was traveling on Pennsylvania Avenue in Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township around 9:15pm, Sunday.

Police say Manbeck's Chrysler Sebring exited the right berm of the road and hit a mailbox that was anchored with concrete.  The impact caused disabling damage to the right front tire of the vehicle.

Manbeck was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Assisting State Police at the scene of the crash were fire personnel from Shenandoah Heights and Shenandoah EMS.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
