Benjamin Sadusky
, 93, of Orwigsburg, died Wednesday December 30, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Schuylkill – East Norwegian, Pottsville.

Born in Schuylkill Township, July 22, 1927, he was a son of the late John and Victoria (Rushnock) Sadusky.

Ben served in the US Navy during WWII.

Before retiring he was the owner of Ben Sadusky Construction Co., Inc. in Orwigsburg.

He was a member of Kimmel’s Evangelical Church, Orwigsburg.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Albert Grustas, Edward Grustas, a sister Sophie Weishaupt and a son in law, James Rymarkiewicz.

Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Betty (Heiser) Sadusky, 3 sons, John Sadusky and his wife Therese of Wellsboro; Terry L. Sadusky and his wife Dolores of St. Clair; Benjamin Sadusky and his wife Nancy of Pottsville; 2 daughters, Victoria Rymarkiewicz of Minersville; Faith Laubenstine and her husband Jack of Orwigsburg; sister Joan Uhrin and her husband Michael of Friedensburg, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial Services with Military Honors will be announced at a later date.

Bernard C. Schuck Sr., 77, Schuylkill Haven, passed away December 31st at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.

Born in Seltzer City, he was a son of the late Jerome and Katherine Schuck. He was also preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Schuck, a daughter Judy Schuck and a son Jeffrey Schuck.

He is survived by his son, Bernard Schuck Jr. and his fiance Melissa Kellett, his daughter Sherri Schaeffer and her husband Rick; also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc., Frackville is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas J. Price, Sr.
, 90 years of age of Allentown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Parkland Manor in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Born Friday, March 28, 1930 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Thomas F., and Myrtle E. (Watkins) Price. He was also predeceased by; his beloved wife Margaret (Boyle) Price; son, Thomas J. Price, Jr..

Surviving are; son, Mark Price and his wife Gail of Allentown, with whom he resided; sister, Marilyn Felsoci of Tamaqua; daughter-in-law, Helene Price; grandchildren, Erin, Megan, Brian, Gerard, Andrea; great grandchildren, Riley, London, and Jamie; nephew Scott Felsoci.

A 1947 graduate of Tamaqua High School, Tom served honorably in the United States Navy. Tom had a long tenured career in aviation beginning in 1954 with T.W.A, spanning through 1992 retiring from United Airlines. An aviation buff, Tom was an ardent fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, and Penn State Football. He was a member of the Tamaqua Elks, and Legion Post.

Private Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services located at 655 E Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Interment will be in Sky View Memorial, Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Military honors to be bestowed.

Anna May Kealy, 73, of Oneida, passed away Thursday, December 31st, 2020, after a brief illness.

Anna May was born in Mt. Carmel, on January 19, 1947, a daughter of the late Mary (Stelma) and Joseph Yadinskie.

After graduating high school and cosmetology school, she was a self employed as a beautician in Sheppton.

She was a fatihful of the Sheppton parish of St. Joseph's Church.

Anna May is survived by a sister Marie Bott, of Hammonton, NJ; and by her longtime significant other, Roy Laubach, of Zion Grove.

Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Anna May will be laid to rest at St. Joseph's cemetery in Mt. Carmel at a later date which will be announced.

Lawrence R. “Tex” Gelches
, 80, of Buck Run, passed away Monday morning at the Penn State Medical Center, Hershey.

Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Paul and Helen Ptaskowski Gelches.

He was a 1957 graduate of Minersville High school. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Minersville. He worked while in school at a grocery store. He later worked for the James Ryan Co. as a truck driver and oiler in the local coal business. He later worked on construction, operating all types of equipment for Pacemaker and Rosdor of New York. He later was promoted to foreman, and then superintendent for the company. After leaving the construction field he worked for Gangloft Brothers as an equipment operator. He also worked for the Reading Co. at COGEN plants and was called out of retirement by Sam Ryan to build roads and backfilling silt dams.

Larry always helped people when needed. He loved his wife and children and helped them all the time and they in return helped him when he needed it. He loved playing his guitar and playing with his band.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steven Fessler, husband of his daughter Helen.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years the former Rosalie Pytko; a son Lawrence Gelches, Buck Run; a daughter Helen Fessler, Summit Station.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday in St. Matthew’s Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville, on Monday morning from 7AM to 9:30 AM. Visitors are expected to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and masks. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Minersville.
