Two in Custody for Burglary in McAdoo Last Weekend

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville took 2 into custody earlier this week for a burglary in McAdoo last weekend.

According to Troopers, on Saturday, December 26th, 2020, a burglary was reported in the 400 block of South Kennedy Drive.

An investigation determined that someone entered the home by force and stole a large sum of cash, trading cards, two 22 caliber rifles, and other items from the home.

The investigation led to two suspects being taken into custody on Monday, December 28th, 2020 after they were found with the stolen items.

As a result, Robert Card, 57, of McAdoo, and Brian Durant, 43, of Hazleton, were taken into custody and charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, and loitering and prowling at night.  Card was additionally charged with criminal mischief and possessing the instrument of a crime.

Both were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Plachko and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
