Bald Eagle Fatally Shot near Hamburg; PA Game Commission Investigating

The PA Game Commission investigating the killing of a bald eagle in Berks County last month.
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Southeast Region, game wardens are seeking information related to the illegal taking of a Bald Eagle that was found on State Game Lands 110, located in Tilden Township, in Berks County, on Sunday, Jan 24, 2021.

The state game warden’s investigation indicates the eagle was killed and then transported and discarded at the State Game Lands 110 parking area along Mountain Road. An x-ray of the eagle revealed projectile 
fragments consistent with a gunshot wound.
