Eleanor McCabe, 88, of Frackville, former Treverton resident, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2021, at the Ridgeview Healthcare Center, Shenandoah Heights. Born in Newburgh, New York, June 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Marjorie Utter Renshaw. She attended Newburg Area High School, and was employed as a clerk in a retail store. Eleanor attended the Pattersonville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Preceding her in death was her husband James McCabe, and a sister, Doris Fuller.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

A future memorial service will be private. Memorials may be made to Watchtower, 900 Red Mills Road, Walkill, N.Y. 12589.

Cheryl L. Umbenhauer, 71, of W. Norwegian St., Pottsville, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at home.

Born on December 29, 1949 in Valley Forge, she was a daughter of the late John and Marian Germeroth Gardner.

Cheryl had been a waitress, cashier, CNA and before retiring, helped run the country store with her husband Kenneth which he previously owned and operated.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 31 years, Kenneth L. Umbenhauer and a son Edward Robert Martin.

Surviving are her children, Donna Martin and companion Thomas Bracey, Jr., Linda Hoppes and companion George "Buster" Truscott, Kimberly Martin and companion Jeffrey Greenberg, Carl Martin Jr., all of Pottsville; Dawn Fidler and companion Donald Seifert of Friedensburg, Kenneth "Bud" Umbenhauer and companion Nora Egan of Pine Grove; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Smith, Jacquelin Sarge and Karen Strawbridge.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in her memory.

Richard L. O’Donnell
, 69, of Frackville, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at his residence.

Born Oct. 22, 1951, in Butler Township, he was a son of the late William H. and Theresa (Chapman) O’Donnell.

He was a retired truck driver, having worked for Fanelli Trucking, Pottsville, and JB Trucking, of McAdoo.

Richard was a former member of Good Will Hose Company, Frackville, where he served as assistant fire chief and a former member of Frackville Community Ambulance Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond O’Donnell.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Judith (Thorn) O’Donnell; two daughters, Leah Manwiller, of Frackville, and Dawn Bechtel and her husband, James, of Frackville; five grandchildren, Alora Castorina, Kira Manwiller, James Bechtel, Michael Bechtel and Katelyn Bechtel; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, William O’Donnell, of Lost Creek; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Feb. 18, at Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., 9 N. Lehigh Ave., Frackville, PA 17931. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Frackville Community Ambulance Association, 52 E. Arch St., Frackville, PA 17931. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Saint Clair. Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., Frackville, is in charge of arrangements.

Kevin P. McTiernan, 54 of Berwick formerly of Shenandoah passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Surviving are two sisters, Ann Sebastiano and her husband Frank of Shenandoah and Denise Claudio of Jersey City, NJ; two brothers, John McTiernan and his wife Pam of Frackville and Michael McTiernan of Confluence; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
