Ashland Area Turkey Hills Temporarily Close After Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

Ashland area Turkey Hills will reopen soon after closing earlier this week.

We received quite a few inquiries after customers that frequent the Ashland and Lavelle Turkey Hill locations asking why they were closed.

Late Monday, when customers went to either store, they found the doors locked, the lights dimmed, and the gas pumps shut off.

We reached out for the company for answers and this is what we learned this morning in a statement from the company.

One of Turkey Hill Team Members at our 2931 Fairgrounds Road Ashland, PA location has informed us that they have tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are taking all appropriate steps following guidance from local health officials. We closed the stores at 4:00 PM (EST) on Monday April 12th to be cleaned and sanitized by an industrial cleaning crew. The store will re-open in the next few days. We are grateful to all our customers for your patience and understanding during this time.

All Team Members that work at these stores have been contacted and advised to follow CDC-recommended guidelines. We are making every effort to provide the affected Team Member and our broader team with the necessary resources and support.

UPDATE: The Centre Street location in Ashland is temporarily closed due to staffing. No date has been set on when the store will reopen.
