A crash has closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.
Just after 9:00am, emergency personnel responded to mile marker 114 in the Northbound lanes for a motor vehicle accident with fire.
Early reports are the crash involved a tractor trailer rear ending a service assistance truck that was assisting a disabled tractor trailer.
The two tractor trailers are reported to be well involved with fire.
Fire police are responding to Exit 112 at Hegins to shut down the northbound lanes of the Interstate.
Fire Departments from Frackville and Minersville were on the initial dispatch with a 1st alarm tanker task force being added to the call.
