Minersville Police Seek Girardville Woman on Drug Charges

 

A Girardville woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Minersville.

According to Minersville Police Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers, on October 26th, 2020, around 10:30pm, a traffic stop was conducted by Patrolman Weaver on a Ford Explorer being driven by Michelle Brennan, 52, of Girardville, for a traffic violation.

Brennan consented to a search of here vehicle that led to the finding of an unlabeled orange pill bottle with a clear plastic baggy inside filled with a white powder-like substance and a cigarette box with a clear glass smoking device containing burnt residue.

Brennan admitted to police that she had about 8 grams of heroin.  Back at the police station, the white powder field tested positive for heroin.

Minersville Police filed charges through Magisterial District Judge David Plachko's office for possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Minersville Police are seeking a warrant for Brennan's arrest.
