The Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement office in Allentown announced on Tuesday that 4 Schuylkill County licensed establishments have been cited for failing to abide by COVID-19 mandates as well as other violations during recent months.
The violations listed below will be brought before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50-$13000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the ALJ can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought. The ALJ can also mandate training for the licensee in an effort to educate them on the requirements of being a licensee.
Club 54, 100-102 W. Centre Street, Mahanoy City
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, allowed a patron to be seated at the bar, and sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal on January 7, 2021 .
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, allowed a patron to be seated at the bar, sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal, sold, furnished or gave alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption after 1 1:00 p.m., and permitted patrons to possess and/or consume alcoholic beverages on the licensed premises after midnight on January 10, 2021 .
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, allowed a patron to be seated at the bar, sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal, and sold, furnished or gave alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption after 11 p.m. on January 22, 2021 . Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not provide face emergency, in that you did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment on February 20, 2021.
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, and allowed a patron to be seated at the bar on March 5, 2021.
Hot Rod Bar & Grill, 15-17-19 Front Street, Cressona
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, and sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal on February 13, 2021.
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal, and sold, furnished or gave alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption after 1 1 p.m. on February 27, 2021.
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, sold, furnished or gave alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption after 1 1 p.m., and permitted patrons to possess and/or consume alcoholic beverages on the licensed premises after midnight on February 28, 2021.
Rosie's Tavern & Grill Inc., 22 Coal Street, Middleport
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment and did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment on March 6, 2021.
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal and sold, furnished or gave alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption after 1 1:00 p.m. on April 2, 2021.
- Failed to abide by the order and mandates of the Governor and/or the Secretary of Health, related to businesses in the restaurant and retail food service industry permitted to operate during the COVID-19 disaster emergency, in that you did not require all customers to wear face masks while entering, exiting or otherwise traveling throughout the establishment, did not provide face masks for employees to wear at work or did not require employees to wear face masks at all times while at the establishment, sold and/or served alcohol to a patron for on-premises consumption in a transaction that did not include a meal, and allowed a patron to be seated at the bar on April 2 and 3, 2021.
