The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have provided an update to this morning incident in Delano.
According to Troopers, the incident began around 11:40am in the private parking lot of Brother's Truck Repair, at 152 Hazle Street in Delano Township.
Police said, an 8 year old boy was operating an ATV in the lot when a tractor trailer entering the same lot turned behind a garage on the property.
The driver of the tractor trailer didn't see the child on the ATV and struck the child with the trailer's rear right tire.
The boy died at the scene and was pronounced by a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner.
State Police say the death has been ruled accidental.
