Juvenile Arrested for Hit and Run Involving Game Commission Employee near Gordon


An arrest was made Monday in a hit and run that occurred earlier in the day and involved a Game Commission Employee.
According to Butler Township Police, around 10:50 am, a male was struck by an ATV in the area of Stagecoach Road,  about 300 yards from the intersection of Malones and Beaver Dam roads in Butler Township, on a gravel road that accesses the game lands near Gordon

After the male was struck, the ATV fled the area and was last seen traveling in the direction of Gordon.

Midday Monday, the Pennsylvania Game Commission revealed that the victim was a game lands supervisor, who was at the site to help perform road improvements and was standing next to his work vehicle when struck by the ATV.

The victim was transported to a helicopter and flown to an area hospital and was said to have suffered a serious injury to his left leg.

Around 9:00pm, Monday, the Game Commission announced that thanks to swift work by local law enforcement, the rider, only identified as a juvenile, was identified and questioned by police this afternoon and will be charged for his role in the collision.
