Community Comes Out for National Night Out in Frackville

The  annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie drew a crowd in Frackville Tuesday evening.

National Night Out in Frackville, which was organized by the Frackville Police Department, was an event to allow the public to learn more and meet with the borough's enforcement, first responders, and learn more about the Community's organizations.

Over 200 kids and adults attended to join in the fun.

Attendees were able to meet with police officers and get a close up look at the police department's vehicles and equipment as well as apparatus from the Good Will Fire Company and Friendship Fire Company, and ambulances from Frackville and Shenandoah.

The Frackville Library and Frackville Rotary attended and provided safety tips.

The "Safety Dance" was performed by the Frackville Mountaineer Cheerleaders.

Swimming was free for the evening at the borough's newly renovated pool.
