Wiconisco Man Charged with Homicide for Shooting Roommate


A Dauphin County man has been charged with homicide after he reportedly killed his roommate on Monday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lykens, on Monday, around 1:30pm, Troopers were called to the 200 block of Walnut Street in Wiconsico Township, Dauphin County after receiving multiple calls of shots fired in the area.

One of those calls, was from a male stating he had shot his roommate and said he would be waiting in the front yard.

Troopers arrived on scene and took Robert Ernest Thomson, 56, of Wiconisco into custody without incident.

The victim, James Nicholas Leshko, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene.

With multiple search warrants, Troopers were able to recover the firearm used inside the residence.

Thomson was charged with Criminal Homicide and transported to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for arraignment.
