Junior High students from the Shenandoah Valley High School Band were provided with a unique opportunity to converse by way of a video call with Master Gunnery Sergeant Leslye Barrett, the Principal Oboist, who is a member of the prestigious United States Marine Corps President’s Band.
Master Sergeant Barrett spoke to the students about not only being a musician in the elite President’s Band but also a woman serving in the USMC.
