Virginia Lee Sadie Reber
, 69, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, October 5th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Born in Sturgis, KY on June 14, 1952, a daughter of the late Mary (Webber) and Lee Becker.

She was the wife of Kenneth "Pete" Reber.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven and a active social member of the Robert E. Baker American Legion Post #38, Schuylkill Haven.

Virginia Lee was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. She was employed for 25 years at Lil' Rascal's Daycare where she was a manager and did a variety of roles. After retirement she worked for R&J Busing as a van driver.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Lori Passaniti, Lewisburg and Tara Evitts wife of Chris, Auburn; son in law Frank Passaniti, Lewisburg; grandchildren Anthony, Gabrielle and Nicholas Passaniti and Rileigh Jo, Dawson and Gavin Evitts; brother Paul Becker husband of Deborah, Middleport; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and David.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 11th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Ted Rathman officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held at 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.

Charles Clayton Allen
, 89, of St. Clair, died Tuesday October 5, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family by his side.

Born in Eatons, WV, October 14, 1931, He was a son of the late Roy and Florence V. (Henderickson) Allen.

He served as Staff Sergeant the US Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a Lab Analyst at Kraft Foods, Fogelsville.

He was of the Protestant Faith

Charles was active in St. Clair Honor Guard, St. Clair American Legion Post 719, Pottsville Amvets, St. Clair Amvets Post 142, St. Clair Old Timers Baseball Club, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Charles was an avid hunter an loved to spend time hunting with his son Charles Jr. an enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by brother Carl Allen.

Surviving are his wife Beatrice (Donaldson) Allen; son Charles C. Allen Jr. and his wife Altagracia Raposo of Schuylkill Haven; daughter Colleen Cairns and her husband Robert , of Beverley Hills, FL; 6 grandchildren Kyle Allen, Charles C. Allen III, Roberto Raposo, Loranny Raposo, Jeremy Cairns and Bree Tyler; 6 great grandchildren Kole, Loren Liz, Nathan, Aaron, Malachi, Corbin, Ryleigh and Chase; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair, PA 17970. Friends may call from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clair Veterans Honor Guard, 536 South Mill Street, St. Clair, PA 17970. Burial with military honors performed by The St. Clair Veterans Honor Guard, will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Tracy L. Brown Sr.
, 55, Girardville, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Philadelphia he was a son of the late Elijah Stokes and Anne Brown. He had been employed as a cook in the restaurant industry.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Wanda Brown.

Surviving are his wife Gladys E. Santiago Brown, seven sons; David, Candido, Miguel, Anthony, Joshua, Alfred and Tracy Jr., one daughter Erica and numerous grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Mr. William F. "Finn" Finneran Jr., age 70, of Mahanoy City, passed away Monday morning at his home. 

Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was the son of the late William F. and Helen (Heiler) Finneran Sr.. He was a 1969 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and served with the Army National Guard. He worked in highway heavy construction and was a member of Local Union 158. He had been a social member of American Legion Post 74 and the former VFW in Mahanoy City. 

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were a brother Patrick and 2 sisters Barbara and Maryellen . 

Survivors include his wife of 48 years the former Moneta Deesing, sons William F. Finneran III of Patriotic Hill, Shawn and Shane both of Mahanoy City and a daughter Jacqueline Finneran also of Mahanoy City, 2 sisters Bridget Walsh and her husband Gary of Shenandoah and Donna Troutman of Ashland, 2 granddaughters Taylor Mertz and her husband Cody and Gabrielle Smith and 3 great grandchildren Aiden and Ryan Mertz and Rowynn Hall as well as nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday morning at 10:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. The Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher will officiate. Interment will be private.

Louise Esperanta Joachim
, 67, of Pottsville, passed away on Sunday at Geisinger – St. Luke Hospital.

Born in Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Alcindor and Therzulie Joachim Alcindor. She attended schools and college in Haiti before emigrating to Brooklyn, New York. She moved to Schuylkill County in 2013; and worked as a Nurse’s Aide until becoming disabled.

Louise is survived by her former husband, Rigaud Noel; three children, Martine Noel (fiancé, Macking Cadet), Hugo Noel (fiancée, Kathryn Moore), and Sylvio Noel (fiancée, Angel Hahn), all of Pottsville; a son in spirit, Jameel Preddie, Pottsville; six grandchildren, Karon Aaron Preddie, Trinity Symmone Bryan Noel, Jerome Tahje Johnson, Sincere Tyree Noel, Genesis Sylvio Noel and Havannah Aria Heaven Noel; five step-grandchildren, Chrystal Moore, Zyonna Moore, Niyerah Moore, Chyennesia Hardy, and Kahsye Moore. She is also survived by numerous siblings; nieces and nephews, including Fritz Gerald Joseph and Sedeline Joseph, both of New York; numerous cousins, including Edeline Joseph, New York.

The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. Services will be at 11:00 A.M.

Robert P. “Brazz” Brozosky
, 70 formerly of the Brownsville section of Shenandoah and New Jersey passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on January 3, 1951, he was a son of the late Domonick & Mary (Wychulis) Brozosky.

He was a graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School Class of 1968. He then received a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in 1972 and a master’s degree from Rutger’s University in 1985.

He was first employed as a corporate analyst for AT&T in New Jersey. He was later employed as an electrical engineering estimator in New Jersey. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a land acquisition researcher for the Marcellus Shale drilling and fracking industry in Pennsylvania.

Robert was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former Saint George’s Church. He was an avid fan of Penn State football and held season tickets for their games. He was a member of the Rum Dums having been a Grand Guzzler.

Surviving are his cousin, Elizabeth “Betty” Jellen and her husband Peter of Telford; additional cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 9:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 8:00 am until 9:00 am in Divine Mercy Church.

Margaret "Peg" Long
, 77, of Joliett, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous fight against cancer.

Born in Pottsville, June 24, 1944, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Purcell Close. Peg was a graduate of the former Cass Township High School.

She was of the Catholic faith. Peg spent her life taking care of her family who meant the world to her.

Peg loved being in the outdoors, especially tending to flowers and watching hummingbirds.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James Close.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Larry J. Long; a son, Larry N. Long, three daughters, Sherry Gilbert (Brian), Dianne Long,and Pamela Long, all of Joliett; her four grandchildren she adored, Richard Geist,Jr., Trista and Tawny Gilbert and Lea Glosek. a brother, Joseph Close, St. Clair; a sister, Alice Schultz, Minersville. Nieces and nephews.
