LVHN has announced that Daniel A. Pedersen, DO has joined Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG)–Schuylkill Medical Plaza, Pottsville.
Dr. Pedersen is accepting new patients at 888-402-LVHN (5946) or LVHN.org/doctors/Daniel-Pedersen. Family medicine is a medical specialty within primary care that provides continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases, and parts of the body.
In addition to his family practice, Dr. Pedersen has been named Assistant Director of LVH–Schuylkill’s Rural Family Medicine Residency Program which will be accepting its first class of residents in July of 2022.
Dr. Pedersen is a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa, and earned his DO from UMDNJ-SOM in Stratford, NJ. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Inspira Hospital in Vineland NJ. He is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine.
He was born and raised in South Jersey and recently relocated to Nesquehoning with his wife and three daughters. Prior to joining Lehigh Valley Health Network, he owned and operated a private solo practice.
As a DO, Dr Pedersen believes strongly in the health and wellness of the mind, body, and soul and uses a holistic approach when treating patients. Dr Pedersen enjoys helping patients to prevent illness and treating high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, depression, anxiety, men’s health issues, and PrEP to name a few.
