Skydiving Santa Tradition Returning to Shenandoah This Year

Shenandoah's annual event where Santa skydives into the borough will return this year after being cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2020.

After the hiatus last year, this will mark the 14th year for the event.

The event will take place on Black Friday, November 26th at Shenandoah Valley's Veterans Memorial Stadium, adjacent to the High School on Stadium Road.

At 12:00pm, noon, pending weather conditions, Santa (and maybe some elves), will jump out of an airplane and parachute into the stadium.  If the weather doesn't cooperate, Santa will arrive via a helicopter or firetruck.

Also waiting for Santa's arrival will be Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.  They will meet and takes photos with those who attend.

After arriving at the stadium, he will be led through Shenandoah in a parade led by the Shenandoah Valley Marching Band, Fire Department, and Police Department.

Gates to the stadium will open at 10:30am, the first 200 children under the age of twelve will receive a free gift!

The event is sponsored by Mrs. T's Pierogies.
