Helen L. Capiga
, age 93, formerly of Shenandoah Heights, passed away Thursday morning at Shenandoah Senior Living Community. 

Born in Mahanoy City she was the daughter of the late Andy and Mae (Coffman) Sabol. She attended Mahanoy City High School. She had been employed in the shoe department at Boscov's and was also a teachers aid for kindergarten students at N. Palm Beach Elementary School in Florida. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Clarence J. Capiga in 2015 and brothers and sisters John, Joseph, Michael and Andy Sabol, Dorothy Levy, Irene Brown and Elizabeth Roos. 

Survivors include a son Clarence Capiga and his wife Linda of Shenandoah, 2 daughters Geraldine Barrett and her husband Gordon of Palm Beach Gardens in Florida and Jan Dahlquist of Holland, PA a brother Edward Sabol and his wife Betty, 7 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to Thank the staff of Shenandoah Senior Living for the excellent care and compassion they provided to Helen. Services will be announced at a later date by David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.

Mr. Thomas N. "Tucker" Holt Jr.
, age 82, of Locust Valley, died Wednesday night at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill in Pottsville. 

Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late Thomas and Lucy E. (Cope) Holt Sr.. He was a graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and served with the National Guard. He worked as a vending machine mechanic for 47 years having worked for Covenco Vending Services of Frackville . He was a member of St. Peter's UCC in Locust Valley. He was a Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren very much. 

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were 2 sisters Carolyn Koback and Elizabeth Bruce. 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years the former June Kratson, a daughter Lisa Smulligan and her husband Charles of State College, a son Tim Holt of Locust Valley a brother Robert Holt of Park Crest and a sister Judy Hutira and her husband Marty of Locust Valley, 5 grandchildren Kristyna Peitz and her husband Bryan, Elizabeth Goodman and her husband Ben , CJ Smulligan and his wife Sarah and Timothy and Zachery Holt, 3 great grandchildren Madalyn and Jacob Peitz and Margaret Goodman as well as nieces and nephews. 

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday morning at 11 AM from St. Peter's UCC in Locust Valley. Friends may call at the church beginning at 10 AM until time of services. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions in his name to the church would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation. Masks are requested but not required. 

David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City is in charge of arrangements.

Dolores V. Wagner
, 89 of Pottsville, died Thursday at home.

She was born July 28, 1932 in Pottsville a daughter of the late Charles and Viola Strohecker Ashman.

She was a 1951 graduate of Pottsville High School.

She was employed as a housekeeper for 20 years at the former Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic, prior to retiring.

Dolores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and Circle 5 of the church, and SCOOP.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard David Wagner; a brother, Charles Ashman; 2 sisters, Jo Ann Ayre and Charlene Feryo.

Surviving are her children, Sharon Johnson and her partner Patrick Allard, New Cumberland; George Wagner, Pottsville; Holly Sullivan and her husband Luke, Gordon; Doug Wagner, Pottsville. 4 grandchildren, Heather Sullivan, Cameron and Cody Johnson, Ashley Allard; 4 great-grandchildren, Brielle and Whalen Johnson, Lily Allard, and Aidan Pyle; a brother, William Ashman, Las Vegas, NV; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11AM from Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Dolores be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville.

Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.
