Denise E. Balliet, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, 66 years of age of Andreas, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at home while in the loving care of her family, after a courageous battle against cancer.

Born Saturday, December 17, 1955 in Reading, The daughter of the late Forrest, and Florence (Fetter) Pawling, Sr. Denise was also predeceased by; sister, Evelyn Michalski; brother, Forrest "Paul" Pawling, Jr.

Surviving are; husband of 38 years, Dennis R. Balliet; sons, Steven Balliet of Andreas, Justin Balliet of Media; daughters, Jodi Balliet wife of Mat Pauley of Reading; sisters, Sharon Kerns wife of Tom, Sue Shaud, Diane Pawling; brother, Michael Pawling, grand child, Brody Balliet. Many nieces and nephews also survive Denise.

A Reading High School graduate, Denise retired from Cargill of Hazleton, and previously worked at Jetson Mail in Hamburg, and Kraft Foods in Allentown.

Denise enjoyed tending to her home, gardening and providing for her family. 50% Native American, Denise was proud of her heritage, and could trace her roots to the Lenope, Shawnee, and Seneca Indian Tribes.

Joan I. Shoop
, 93, of Tower City, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Providence Place, Pine Grove with her daughters by her side.

Born in Tower City, January 25 1929, a daughter of the late Stewart and Ruth Bender Kuntzleman. Joan was a graduate of the former Porter Township High School.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City where she was the former custodian and also served on the Altar Guild.

Joan enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Her greatest joys where when surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Willard Shoop, 1997, and a brother, Harry "Jug" Kuntzleman.

Surviving are her two daughters, Brenda Shuey and her husband Larry, Williamstown and Kathy Miller and her husband Donald, Tower City; three grandchildren, Seth Shuey, Williamstown, Heidi and Candice Miller both of Tower City.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9-10 am at the chapel.

Peter Storaska
was born on October 8th 1944 and passed away on April 5th 2022.

He leaves behind his wife Jeanette Storaska, his brother Jerry Storaska, his sisters Kathy and Lori, his children Peter Storaska Jr., and Micheal Storaska, his godchild Andrea Gottshall,who he considered the daughter he never had, grandchildren,Sarah, Kristyn, Juilanna, Pete lll, William Storaska, Ethan,one great grandchild Inaya, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Peter served in the military and then the National Guard for 6 years as a police officer. He retired from Genova as Molding Maintenance Manager. He enjoyed fishing, camping, shuffleboard, and painting.

Peter is preceded in death by both his mother Edna, father Peter H. Storaska, sister Betty and childhood friend Butch Pretti.

Peter was a kind and soft spoken gentleman who loved his family and will be missed dearly.

The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home is assisting Peters family during their time of need.
