Joanne M. (Tooter) Eckert
, 71, of New Ringgold, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, May 22nd, at her residence.

Joanne was born on July 4, 1950, a daughter of Elizabeth V. (Dreher) Boyer, of New Ringgold, and the late Clifford Deibert. Joanne was predeceased by her stepfather Jay Boyer.
She was the wife of David P. Eckert. They were married on September 21st, 1968. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church New Ringgold and she graduated from Blue Mountain High School in 1968.

Joanne worked as a secretary for Eugene Gangloff and she also was employed as an accountant for Integrated Medical Group. In addition to her mother, Elizabeth, and David, her husband of 53 years, Joanne is survived by two sons Richard Eckert and Ryan Eckert, and her brother, Dr. David Deibert, husband of Betsy.

She is also survived by her two granddaughters Meadow Elizabeth Marie Eckert and Peyton Ann Julia Eckert and also her stepsister Susan Wertz.

Joanne was preceded in death by her daughter Janet Marie Eckert.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 26th at Friedens Lutheran Church in New Ringgold, with Pastor Cindy White officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM with a service to follow.

Interment will be private. Donations can be made to Friedens Lutheran Church in Joanne's name at 21 Mill Mountain Rd, New Ringgold, PA 17960.

Grace F. Fetterolf, 91, formerly of Locustdale passed away Saturday morning at Mansion Nursing & Rehab Center, Sunbury. Arrangements will be announced in the near future.

Betty Anne Klock
, 76, of Market St., Ashland, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Born in Ashland, December 3, 1945, she was the daughter of Oscar and Gertrude Renner Tiley. She was a graduate of the former Ashland High School, class of 1963. Betty Anne had been employed as a secretary for the former Ashland Knitting Mill, Ashland, Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland, and lastly for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, Mahanoy Institution, until her retirement. She was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Ashland. Preceding her in death was her husband Ronald Klock, passing January 31, 2018, also sisters, Joan Grant, and Connie Houser, brother in laws, John Grant and Wiley Houser, and a nephew Todd Houser.

Daughter: Kristan wife of Todd Frontz, Reading

Son: Kyle Klock, Ashland

Grandchildren: William, James, and Thomas McDonnell, Caden Klock, and Angel Arner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, 10:30 AM, in the Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, 2400 Centre St., Ashland. Officiated will be Rev. Dean Luther, pastor. A viewing will begin at 9:30 in the church until the service. Interment will be in the Brock Cemetery, Ashland.

Melanie K. Neidhammer
, nee Mancuso, 77, of Main Street, Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, Shenandoah. Born in Hazleton, February 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marion Lindenmuth Mancuso. She was a graduate of the former Ashland High School, class of 1963. Following high school, she graduated from the former Ashland State General Hospital School of Nursing, Fountain Springs, as a Registered Nurse. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Clyde F. Neidhammer II, a son Andrew Neidhammer of Woodstock Georgia, and a daughter Jeni wife of Erin Barker, Bernville. Also, five grandchildren, Allison wife of Thomas Waters, Miranda wife of Michael Love, Peyton Neidhammer, Brydon Barker and fiancée Michaela Blankenbiller, and Cade Barker. She has two great granddaughters, Presley and Avery, and a great grandson is expected in July.

She served in many capacities along with her husband who was the pastor of several churches including the First Baptist Church, Ashland, Zion English Baptist Church, Girardville, Welsh Baptist Church, Shenandoah, prior to moving to Maryland in 1971 where they served for 45 years at the Centennial Baptist Church which became Woodlawn Christian Fellowship in 1978.

Her greatest joy was sharing her life with her husband and her family. She always put others before herself. She was content to work behind the scenes and did not draw attention to herself. She wanted to express Christ’s love to all those around her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready to share of good joke. She was loved by many and will be missed.

The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center for their diligent and exceptional care of Melanie during her stay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Grace Family Ministries, 143 Main St., Ashland, PA. 17921.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, the funeral service will be private.
