Suzanne O'Neill, of Gordon, has spent decades serving the North Schuylkill School District. She spent over 20 years as an art teacher for the district, and then nearly a decade on school board after she retired.
During Wednesday evening's monthly school board meeting, O'Neill officially submitted her resignation, which was accepted by members.
O'Neill did not attend the meeting.
The school board now has 30 days to appoint and refill the position.
