Ashland Woman Faces Drug and Resisting Arrest Charges

A woman from Ashland is facing charges after drugs were found in her vehicle that was being repossessed.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, around 12:00pm, Troopers were dispatched to the 1200 Block of Brock Street in Ashland for an incident that occurred during a vehicle repossession.

Police say, while a tow company was attempting to repossess a vehicle, Janelle Moyer, 42, of Ashland jumped into the vehicle and attempted to drive off the flat bed.  Moyer than refused to exit the vehicle.

When Troopers arrived, Moyer was still in the vehicle and after given numerous verbal commands, exited the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle led to the finding of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

Moyer was taken into custody and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  2. The Pennsylvania State Police did a good job. Where were the Ashland cops? The Ashland council needs to hire more Police and get rid of some of the lazy street workers that ride up and down town all day doing nothing.
