Danny R. Quick Sr.
, 68, of Broad Street, Fountain Springs, Ashland, passed away, Friday, July 8, 2022, at the UPMC Hospital, Harrisburg, with his family by his side. Born at the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, September 6, 1953, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Mae Houser Quick. He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1971. Danny was employed 35 years as a truck driver for the Tri State Envelope Corporation, Ashland, and later retired as a truck driver from the Patterson Block Company, Mt. Carmel Township. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving with the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Specialist 4, receiving Marksman and Hand Grenade honors. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Ashland. His memberships include the Shamokin Lodge #255 F. & A.M., Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Schuylkill Forest #50, and the American Fire Company, Fountain Springs. Active in area military organizations, he was a life member of the Ashland V.F.W., Post 7654, American Legion P.U.F.L., Centralia American Legion, and the D.A.V. of Valley View #103.

Preceding him in death was a sister in law, Dorothy Quick.

Son: Danny Quick Jr. and his wife Bridget, Ringtown

Sister: Donna wife of Michael Lassen, Mowry

Sister: Judy wife of Richard Moser, Girardville

Brother: Wilmer Quick, Ashland

Step Daughters: Bonnie Barr, Hegins, Cherrilee Weaver, Hegins, Roberta Nolen, Lavelle, and Denise Spickler, Klingerstown

Grandchildren: Corey Quick and his fiancé Maura McDonald, Shane Quick, and Caelan Quick

Nine step grandchildren, 15 great step grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service, July 13, 2022 at 11 AM, in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 35 North Ninth Street, Ashland. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Heckman Beil, pastor. A viewing will begin at 9 AM in the church, with a Masonic service and Veteran service being held prior to the funeral. Internment with military honors will take place at a later date in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Ashland V.F.W.
