Joseph J. Kochol, 82 of Pottsville died Thursday at The Garden of York Terrace, Pottsville.

He was born February 12,1940 in Pottsville a son of the late Anthony J. Sr., and Elizabeth Shargo Kochol

Joe was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalie Imschweiler.

Surviving are a sister, Mary Ann Hanzok, Pine Grove; a brother, Anthony J. Kochol, Jr., Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing Tuesday from 10AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Joe be made to St. John Memorial Fund, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.

James M. Moran, 65, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday, August 11th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Minersville on November 15, 1956, he was the son of the late Martha (Heilman) and Thomas Moran.

He was the husband of Paulette M. (Hopko) Moran.

After graduating from Minersville High School, James was employed as a machine operator for Exide Battery, as well as a newspaper carrier for the Pottsville Republican.

James was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason, husband of Beth Moran, of Pottsville, and grandchildren Riley Moran, Brady Moran, Emily Osatchuck, and Madeline Osatchuck.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Josephine R. Blume, 94, of Orwigsburg passed away quietly Wednesday, August 10th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

Born in Pittston on December 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Carmella (Mangione) and Samuel Jerrytone.

She was a loving homemaker most of her life. In healthier years, she marvelled friends and family with her extraordinary baking skills and Italian fare.

Josephine is survived by her daughter, Sharon Blume, wife of Joey Bracco, of Brooklyn and Orwigsburg; a son, George W. Blume, Jr. and wife Laura (Brosi) of Long Island, NY; and daughter Kara, wife of George Umbenhauer, of Auburn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Georgia, Georgie and Carly, as well as great grandchildren, Lana and Charlie.
In addition to her late husband George W. Blume, Josephine is preceded in death by two sisters; Connie Oliver, Jane Mikolosko and two brothers; Al and Jerry Jerrytone.
Josephine was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven.

Services and interment is private at the convenience of family.

John W. Miller, 85

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Clare of Assisi Church, St. Clair, Thursday August 18th at 10:30 with Msgr William F. Glosser officiating. Visitation in the church will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Inc. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate if contributions were made to St. Clare of Assisi Church, 250 E Hancock St, St Clair, PA 17970.

Jean White, 89, of Elmer Street, Ashland, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Geisinger Shamokin Community Hospital, Coal Township. 

The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, will announce funeral arrangements.
